We live in a world, shrouded with hate
With no fear, and no resistance
We’ll never be saved
But can you hear my cries?
We’ve made a big mistake!

The roads we took have lead to this
The pain, the dread, the need for death
The likes of which will see it through
No one is save, not even you
And as this night stands still like air
He goes to take the knife to her
She tries to run, and she gets tossed
For now she bleeds against the wall

The way that the story ends
Is just another god damn tragedy
The way that the world begins
Is when we turn to look away

He sees her crying down the hall
And without thinking starts to run
Her lover quickly draws a gun
And he tries to jump in front
Straight through his heart
Laying dead there in her arms
A familiar touch, and she recalls
This is the one who she had scarred
She stares at him with hollow eyes
And looks up to ask him why
Filled with rage he cocks his gun
This is when her death will come

The way that the story ends
Is just another god damn tragedy

He breaks down his door
And heads towards the scene before
Stopping dead in his tracks
"That is my son!"
